The highly-anticipated release date of Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie ‘Lal Salaam’ has officially been confirmed by Lyca Productions. However, with two other films already slated for the same release date, it remains to be seen whether they will reschedule their premieres to avoid clashing with this massive blockbuster.
Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the eldest daughter of the superstar, ‘Lal Salaam’ boasts music composed by the renowned A.R. Rahman. Although filming concluded a few months ago, post-production activities, including dubbing and graphics, are progressing rapidly.
Lyca recently announced on social media that ‘Lal Salaam’ is set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 14, 2024, which coincides with Pongal Day. The striking new poster features Rajinikanth in a charismatic avatar, alongside Vishnu Vishal. The film also stars Vikranth, Nirosha, Jeevitha, Thangadurai, and the legendary former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev.
Previously, ‘Ayalan,’ featuring Sivakarthikeyan, and ‘Aranmanai 4,’ directed by Sundar C, had already been declared as Pongal releases. Now, the big question is whether these two films will take the risk of competing with Rajini at the box office, especially following the ‘Jailer’ frenzy, or if they will opt for a different release date.
